This editor’s note highlights the key facts and market implications behind “Panasonic Housing Solutions Launches Interior Ma”, with emphasis on sourcing, product fit, fabrication, logistics, or buyer impact.
Panasonic Housing Solutions, a housing equipment subsidiary of Panasonic Holdings, announced on the 18th that it will launch interior building materials designed to make rooms appear more spacious. The company is revamping its interior materials brand "Veritis." It will introduce items such as doors with brighter color patterns and larger glass sections for daylighting. Orders will begin via construction companies and others from April 2026.
As housing prices rise and purchasing new properties becomes more difficult, demand for renovation is increasing. In particular, many consumers seek a sense of openness in their living rooms.
The doors feature an expanded selection of patterns in a "greige" (gray-beige) color scheme. The company states they have high lightness value, creating a greater sense of openness.
Doors that reach the ceiling, which previously required an optional fee, are now made standard. This allows one to feel the room's spaciousness more when the door is open. The door hinges are concealed for a cleaner design.
On the same day, the company also announced that from April 2026, it will offer a service for construction companies and others that uses artificial intelligence (AI) to estimate renovation costs from floor plans. This aims to reduce work time amid labor shortages.
