The opening ceremony of the 6th China International Consumer Products Expo (CICPE) and the 2026 "Buy in China" International Consumption Season was held on April 13 in Haikou, the capital of China's southern Hainan province.
The "China Porcelain Selections" Pavilion, a collaborative effort between the China Internet Information Center (CIIC) and the China Ceramic Industry Association, made its official debut within the "Chinese Products Go Global" exhibition zone.
The project is a flagship initiative of the China Porcelain International Communication and Trade Platform, aimed at promoting international trade and porcelain culture. Under the guidance of the China International Publishing Group (CIPG) and hosted by the CIIC, this platform has been designated as a key project of the "Thousand Sails Action Plan" for the foreign trade of cultural products, a strategic initiative jointly launched by China's Ministry of Commerce and five other government agencies.
The "China Porcelain Selections" Pavilion showcases an exceptional collection of ceramic art and design works from various regions across the country. It is structured around three distinct zones: Ceramic Enterprise Exhibition, Cultural Dialogues and Live Streaming for Online Commerce, and Business Negotiation. It provides exhibitors with comprehensive operational support, including booth allocation, multilingual media coverage, and guided tours hosted by live presenters. On-site visitors also have the opportunity to participate in interactive experiences.
On the afternoon of April 13, the Pavilion hosted a thematic seminar and business promotion conference titled "Chinese Porcelain Goes Global: Comprehensive Business Connectivity." The event featured presentations on key initiatives—such as the "National Porcelain Selection Project"—as well as industry roundtables and matchmaking sessions.
During his participation in the 6th CICPE, Yu Yunquan, Vice President of CIPG, emphasized that promoting cultural exchanges related to ceramics is a crucial measure for fulfilling the mission and responsibilities inherent to international communication. He called for vigorously advancing the "Thousand Sails Action Plan."
