This editor’s note highlights the key facts and market implications behind “Milano Design Week: ABK Reinvents the Bistrot wi”, with emphasis on sourcing, product fit, fabrication, logistics, or buyer impact.
Milan, April 22 (askanews) – A bistrot where cooking happens without visible stoves and ceramics take center stage: at the Milano Design Week 2026, ABK GROUP brings "SupeRavioli Bistrot" to Superstudio Più, an installation signed by Paola Navone – OTTO Studio.
Technological innovation and aesthetic research are at the heart of an immersive experience, where the surface becomes narrative and ceramics an expressive element.
The exhibition space takes the form of a bistrot dedicated to filled pasta, with a colorful setup that recalls a contemporary gastronomic shop: lemon green walls, scenic spaghetti-shaped lamps, and marble-effect porcelain stoneware tables balancing formal rigor and playfulness.
Interview with Cristian Nizzoli, Marketing Director ABK Group
Cristian Nizzoli, Marketing Director of ABK Group, said:
“We chose the creative language of Paola Navone to tell the technology behind our products. In particular, based on her design, we created these tables that literally carve into the porcelain stoneware slabs to showcase this technique we call full vein 3d, which allows for perfect continuity between the surface graphics and what lies inside the thickness. It is an innovation that enables the reproduction of natural marble effects in an even more realistic manner.”
The large slab segment is a growing one for the group, with 2025 revenue increasing by 17.1% compared to 2024, driven by both the Italian and foreign markets.
This project, presented at Design Week, tells the story of the meeting between technological innovation and design culture, transforming material into experience.
