Editor's Note

This editor’s note highlights the key facts and market implications behind “LG Hausys Launches ‘Prestige’ Commercial Tile Fl”, with emphasis on sourcing, product fit, fabrication, logistics, or buyer impact.

LG Hausys (CEO Min Kyung-jip) has launched 'Prestige' (PRESTG), a premium commercial tile flooring that perfectly expresses the luxurious appearance of wood and marble. 'Prestige' features a more realistic expression of wood texture through the Continuous Embossing in Register (C-EIR) process, which aligns the wood grain pattern with the embossed texture. C-EIR is LG Hausys's differentiated technology, characterized by less pattern repetition compared to conventional technologies, enabling more natural and realistic patterns. The product size has been increased by approximately twice that of previous products to minimize pattern repetition and achieve rich patterns at the level of natural materials. Print resolution has been improved by 160% compared to previous standards, enhancing pattern clarity and expressing the detailed texture of the material with rich color.

Furthermore, 'Prestige', which is well-suited as a premium flooring for commercial facilities, features enhanced scratch resistance through differentiated surface treatment technology and incorporates anti-transfer technology to prevent floor unevenness from being prominently visible. Notably, 'Prestige' allows for overlay installation over existing fixed decorative tiles or mineral flooring without removal. This enables 'One-Day Construction', completing the process from installation to finishing within a single day, reducing time and costs compared to demolition and reconstruction.

In addition, LG Hausys also introduced 'Prestige Click', which can be installed using a click-lock (floating floor) method. Like Prestige, it incorporates the C-EIR process and allows for overlay installation over existing flooring, enabling restoration to the original state if removed. It features a noise reduction layer that reduces noise by 19dB and is resistant to deformation from moisture.
