At the center is an expert panel that brings together various perspectives. Participants include building expert and project manager Oliver Girharz (Matrol), interior designer Max Menck (Quadratmeta), real estate law specialist lawyer Sonja Willner, and Bernat Nadal Alemany, dean of the Architects' Association of the Balearic Islands. The discussion will revolve around the following questions: What does it mean in practice to implement a renovation or refurbishment project in Mallorca? Where do the most common problems arise – and how can they be avoided?
“Vertrag kommt von Vertragen” (A contract comes from agreeing), says Girharz. Especially for larger projects, it is crucial to make clear agreements and not rely on supposedly straightforward handshake deals. Too often, disputes arise later over costs, execution, or quality.
Sonja Willner also advocates for an early look at potential risks and recommends, "thinking about the renovation already when purchasing." Anyone who does not thoroughly check the condition of a property risks not only technical but also legal problems.
In addition to such insights, the evening will cover fundamental topics: How do I plan a renovation realistically – in terms of budget and time? Which permits are required? How do I find reliable partners? And how do I achieve an implementation that is convincing both functionally and aesthetically?
