Editor's Note
This editor’s note highlights the key facts and market implications behind “Cracks and Bulging Found on MTR Admiralty Statio”, with emphasis on sourcing, product fit, fabrication, logistics, or buyer impact.
The MTR Corporation reported that a crack was discovered on the track near Sunny Bay Station on the Tung Chung Line last night (3rd). As a precaution, trains are required to reduce speed when passing through that section. Engineering personnel have used temporary reinforcement components to secure the track in that area to ensure operational safety, and have arranged for the replacement of the affected track after service hours that same night. Currently, travel time on the Tung Chung Line from Tsing Yi to Tung Chung Station and on the Airport Express from Tsing Yi to AsiaWorld-Expo Station is expected to be extended by an additional 5 to 8 minutes.
The MTR noted that the entire track on its railway lines is secured to the track bed with steel clips approximately every two feet. In the event of a crack, these clips can still hold the track firmly in place, preventing displacement and ensuring safe train operations.
