Editor's note
Importers sourcing from China should note increased domestic US capacity for large-format quartz slabs. This may reduce demand for imported quartz in super jumbo sizes for US commercial projects, particularly where 'Made in USA' specifications or shorter lead times are prioritized. Fabricators serving US clients should be aware of this competitive domestic option.
Daltile has launched three new designs into its One Quartz extra-large quartz slab program, all manufactured in the USA and available nationwide. The new collections—Outer Banks, Calacatta Bolt, and Telluride—are produced in super jumbo slab dimensions of 136” x 79” and are offered in both 2 cm and 3 cm thicknesses. These non-porous, scratch- and stain-resistant slabs are positioned for both residential and commercial applications, including countertops, backsplashes, and wall coverings. The expansion increases the availability of domestically produced, large-format quartz options in the US market.
Daltile, based in Dallas, Texas, has introduced three new designs to its One Quartz extra-large quartz slab program. All collections are manufactured in the United States and distributed nationwide.
The new slabs measure 136” x 79” and are available in 2 cm and 3 cm thicknesses, marketed for use in countertops, backsplashes, and wall applications in both residential and commercial projects.
The three new designs include Outer Banks, featuring gold and sandy veining on an off-white background; Calacatta Bolt, with bold black veining on an off-white base; and Telluride, which combines soft grey veining with a polished off-white background.
The company emphasizes the slabs' durability, low maintenance, and stone-like aesthetics as key selling points for commercial spaces. Roy Viana, director of natural stone and slab for Dal-Tile LLC, stated that the products offer marble and stone visuals with quartz performance at a price suitable for commercial budgets.
The expansion signals Daltile's continued investment in domestic production of large-format quartz, providing an alternative to imported slabs for US-based projects requiring quick availability.
