On Friday, April 18, from 6:00 PM, the Ceramic Centre welcomed a large audience for the vernissage of the Barock exhibition, an original immersion between Baroque influences and contemporary creation. Artists, enthusiasts, and cultural partners gathered in a friendly atmosphere to discover bold works.

M. Vandendriessche, vice-president for culture, represented the Department. Mayor Gilles Turlan recalled in his opening speech the municipality's constant support for the Ceramic Centre, continuing the cultural policy pursued for years in favor of craft trades in Giroussens.

Spread over nearly 200 m² in rooms 1 and 2, the exhibition combines monumental sculptures and more intimate pieces. Porcelain, earthenware, assemblages, recycling, and intuitive modeling make up a rich journey, enhanced by an installation by Audrey Ballacchino conceived as a stage space. Twelve artists are brought together, including Lynda Draper, Jennifer King, Sarah Pschorn, Victor Alarçon, and Laure Rivoal.
