For example, consider a mixture of loam and fine gravel. The disadvantage of this, however, is that the fine gravel sticks, making it easy to be tracked into your house. If you want to avoid a dirty floor, gravel and large outdoor tiles are also good options. There are many different types of outdoor tiles to choose from. Gray tiles give a beautiful neutral appearance, while terracotta tiles add a southern touch to your own Dutch garden.
A Touch Frivolous
Do you want to paint one or more walls in the garden? Forget smooth plasterwork. Don't paint the wall in a Mediterranean garden evenly, but ensure that brushstrokes remain visible. That gives an authentic, frivolous look. For example, paint the exterior wall in a worn terra color, which immediately gives the garden a warm summer vibe.

Create a lovely Mediterranean lounge area with beautiful items made of bamboo, reed, untreated wood, and terra cotta. Greenery
In the Mediterranean garden, pots of all kinds and colors should not be missing. Fill the pots with deep green plants like aloe vera, cactus, olive, or the more colorful Mediterranean species like bougainvillea and oleander. The more greenery, the better. Also remember that as many pots filled with greenery as possible in a Mediterranean garden can all be placed together.
Small Garden
Do you have a small(er) garden? Even then, Mediterranean outdoor tiles and gravel immediately give the right southern feeling. Choose your furniture carefully. Alternate a slightly larger piece of furniture, like a lounge bench, with 'light' furniture on legs. That looks more spacious. Also, don't forget that you often have a lot of extra space in the air. Ideal for hanging items, like a string of lights or a few hanging plants.
