This editor’s note highlights the key facts and market implications behind “Hanssem Launches Five New Wet and Dry Bathroom P”, with emphasis on sourcing, product fit, fabrication, logistics, or buyer impact.
Hanssem (CEO Kim Jin-tae) announced on the 26th the launch of five new bathroom products: three 'wet-type' tile bathrooms and two 'dry-type' panel bathrooms.
While Hanssem has previously focused on dry-type panel bathrooms, this new product launch marks an expansion of its lineup into wet-type tile bathrooms. The existing dry-type panel bathrooms are popular with customers seeking partial bathroom renovations, as they can be remodeled in just one day.
The newly introduced wet-type tile bathrooms have a longer construction period compared to dry-type, but their advantage lies in the ability to implement various designs using tiles. Hanssem plans to target customers undertaking full remodeling projects, who face fewer time constraints, by proposing the wet-type tile bathroom as part of a remodeling package alongside kitchens, flooring, and windows.
The new wet-type tile bathroom products are three models: 'Deep Nature' and 'Timeless' from the Euro5 grade, and 'Fit Me' from the Milan7 grade. The Euro5 Deep Nature and Euro5 Timeless create a luxurious, hotel-like bathroom atmosphere. They feature the installation of large-format 600x600mm porcelain tiles. The grout lines between tiles are finished in the same color as the tiles, making the bathroom appear more spacious and sophisticated. For areas where tiles meet at right angles, such as bathroom shelves and corner walls, a 'mitered' processing method is applied to finish the edges seamlessly, hiding the joints.
A 'masonry shelf' is installed in the washbasin area for placing items. Constructing a masonry shelf is a high-difficulty process involving bricklaying and tile finishing. Hanssem implements this shelf using its self-developed 'Shelf Construction Kit,' which eliminates the need for bricklaying work.
The Milan Fit Me is designed to allow for a bathroom full of personality. It combines base and accent tiles in various colors like cobalt, pink, and gray. It also incorporates bathroom items such as an 'arch-shaped lighted mirror,' 'ball-type wall lights,' and a 'God pendant' light.
The new dry-type panel bathroom products are two models from the Euro3 grade: 'Gallery Home' and 'Glam Modern'.
Hanssem's dry-type panel bathrooms are constructed not with tiles, but with its self-developed wall panels called 'Hupanel' and flooring called 'Hufloor'. This panel construction method significantly reduces construction time, allowing bathroom remodeling to be completed in a single day. Furthermore, the absence of grout lines between tiles means less susceptibility to water stains and mold.
The new products differentiate themselves by using wall panels made of 'SPC (Stone Plastic Composite)' material, which contains over 70% natural stone powder. While previously 'molding' was used to join wall panels, the SPC material wall panels can be finished in a 'molding-free' form without it. For the bathroom floor, both dry-type Hufloor and wet-type tiles can be applied.
The design is also differentiated. Gallery Home features white-toned walls and floors, combined with a 'stand-type washbasin' and a two-tone colored faucet in accent colors like red, yellow, and blue, making the central washbasin area stand out. Glam Modern combines gray wall panels with a marble pattern, modern sensor LED lighting, and brushed nickel faucets to create a comfortable, hotel-like atmosphere.
