This editor’s note highlights the key facts and market implications behind “Italian Porcelain Tile Brand Florim Opens Its 10”, with emphasis on sourcing, product fit, fabrication, logistics, or buyer impact.
Italian high-end porcelain tile brand Florim has officially opened its 10th flagship store in Seoul's Gangnam district. This opening, following key cities like the United States, France, and the UK, is seen as a strategic move to strengthen design exchange with the Korean market. It also marks an expansion of its presence in Asia since its Singapore flagship store in 2019.
Founded in 1962, Florim is Italy's top revenue-generating ceramic company with over 60 years of history, holding international recognition in architecture and interior design. Florim has proposed the value of space design through ceramic finishes that combine artistry and functionality, going beyond simple tile manufacturing.
The newly opened Seoul flagship store is designed not as a typical product-focused retail outlet but as an experiential space to introduce the brand's aesthetics and philosophy to domestic customers. Florim evaluated Seoul as a "global design hub where tradition and innovation coexist" and has established this store as a base for close interaction with Korean clients.
Located in Seoul's Gangnam district, the store features a full-glass window structure, allowing the brand's design concept to be visually appreciated from the outside. Inside, large-format porcelain tiles of various textures and thicknesses are displayed, enabling visitors to directly experience the product's applicability in architecture, interior design, and as objects.
Additionally, the store includes a real workspace and various staging areas, such as a ready-to-use kitchen, an elegant bathroom zone from the Elitique project created in collaboration with Falper, and a dedicated section showcasing advanced technology applications.
Through this, Florim plans to expand exchanges with Korean designers, architects, and industry professionals and build a foundation for long-term collaboration.
The opening ceremony held on the 11th was attended by Beatrice Lucchese, Florim's CCO; Adriana Massi, Asia-Pacific Sales Director; and Emilia Gatto, the Italian Ambassador to South Korea.
“The Florim Seoul flagship store is more than just a showroom; it is a cultural space that embodies the brand’s identity,” said Beatrice Lucchese, CCO. “Through a close connection with the Korean market, we will share design, sustainability, and artistic vision.”
