Editor's Note
This editor’s note highlights the key facts and market implications behind “8 Wall Trends We’ll See in the Most Stylish Home”, with emphasis on sourcing, product fit, fabrication, logistics, or buyer impact.
When we think about renovating our spaces, we almost always start with the question of color. A few weeks ago, interior designer Alberto Aranda gave us an interview that helped us understand where next year's palettes are headed. We asked him if there was any color that could make a home look outdated, and his response was that for him, there are no forbidden colors; it depends more on the combination.
However, the expert does acknowledge that some tones have lost popularity, such as mustard yellows or pinks, while others, inspired by nature, are gaining strong momentum. According to Aranda, in the coming months, browns, terracottas, modern greens, and grayish blues will dominate—that is, softer, organic colors that are easy to integrate at home and avoid saturation.
But in 2026, walls won't just be dressed in these colors; they will also feature new textures, reliefs, ceramics, and wallpapers that will turn our walls into the center of attention. If you want to get up to date, here are 8 wall trends you should know if you're thinking about renovating your home.
8 Wall Trends We’ll See in 2026
Small and Traditional Ceramics
Classic tiles are making a comeback, but with a renewed style. Now colors are mixed, different pieces are combined, and patterns are played with to create a lot of movement. They are great for highlighting a specific corner without having to tile the entire wall. In a small bathroom, for example, they work wonderfully, or in a kitchen open to the living room, as in this example.
Wooden Slats
Vertical slats have become the perfect wildcard for any room, as they dress up the space, warm it up, and on top of that, they go with everything. You'll see them in living rooms, entryways, bedrooms, and even in the bathroom. If you like Nordic or minimalist style, they will fit you like a glove. They give that cozy feeling without having to put a thousand things on the wall. And if you dare, you can opt for more elaborate designs with geometric shapes.
Very Romantic Floral Wallpapers
Florals are still here, but very renewed. Now designs with a British air, delicate strokes, and calmer colors are in fashion to create romantic and classic-style atmospheres. They look great in passage areas, bedrooms, or living rooms, and integrate very well if you accompany them with vintage-style furniture and sofas or armchairs in neutral tones.
Geometric Reliefs
If you want a wall to have a special touch without resorting to color, you'll love this trend. Pieces with volume are very popular. There are everything from pyramidal shapes to faceted squares. In dark tones, they look elegant and are mainly combined with smooth walls in other tones. A perfect option for bold bathrooms!
XXL Porcelain and Sintered Stone
Large porcelain slabs continue to gain fans, and it makes perfect sense, as they make any place look larger and leave the space cleaner because they have almost no joints. They usually mimic natural stone and look luxurious in open kitchens, spacious bathrooms, or living rooms where you want that "continuous" effect. Furthermore, they are easy-to-clean and very resistant materials, so they are a safe bet.
Textile Wallpapers
Texture is back in command. From wallpapers that look like fabrics to others that imitate natural fibers or artisanal finishes, everything adds up to make the wall more interesting without resorting to color. They work wonderfully in bedrooms, studies, or any corner you want to make warmer. You also have vinyl versions that, for the bathroom for example, withstand humidity well and are easy to clean.
Large-Format Mural Wallpaper
If what you're looking for is a quick but striking change, panoramic murals are a total hit. Landscapes, botanical motifs, artistic illustrations… The level of detail is incredible, and by wallpapering just one wall, you already have the effect done. Ideal for living rooms and bedrooms where you want to add a creative touch without having to paint or move half the furniture.
Subtle Geometries in Earth Tones
Geometry isn't going anywhere; it has just relaxed a bit. Now it's worn in sand, taupe, or terracota tones, which give a lot of serenity. They help you have a wall with character, but without stealing too much protagonism. For entryways and dining rooms, or for the head of the bed, they are a very fine and easy-to-combine bet.
