The center hosted yesterday the 42nd PechaKucha Night Valencia, an event promoted by the Manises International Ceramics Biennial Yesterday, Thursday, April 23, from 6:00 PM, the Velluters campus of the School of Art and Higher Design (EASD) of Valencia hosted the 42nd edition of PechaKucha Night Valencia. This new edition of PechaKucha Night, held in collaboration with the Manises International Ceramics Biennial, its Ceramics Museum, the city council, and EASD Valencia, focused on the relationship between ceramics, design, and innovation. The gathering served as the opening act for the programming of the International Ceramics Biennial, which will bring together key figures in art and design, along with new talents, between April and July, in a journey that connects tradition, industry, and ceramic experimentation. The new edition of the Biennial will turn the city of Manises into a meeting point for art, design, and reflection on contemporary ceramics, through conferences, round tables, exhibitions, screenings, and guided tours.

The 42nd edition of PechaKucha Night began with a brief institutional presentation by Ana Martínez Gorostiza, deputy director of EASD Valencia, and Xavier Morant, councilor for Culture of the Manises City Council.
Subsequently, the round table "Ceramic Graphic Heritage" was held, with the participation of designers Juan Nava and Juan Salvador and restorer Duccio Sanesi, moderated by journalist Paco Ballester and designer Tomás Gorria. The meeting was completed with the presentation of nine projects related to ceramics in PechaKucha Night format.

On this occasion, the participants were Ximo Roca (designer), Xavier Monsalvatje (ceramist and author of the official poster of PechaKucha Night 42), Xavier Claur (ceramist), Carla Alcalá (ceramic researcher at UPV), Fina Alarcón (Master in crafts, design, and sustainable production EASD/EASC), Cristina Fabuel (ITC), Eugenia Boscá (ceramist), Ana Illueca and Melisa Inga (Chulucanas Project, Peru), and Alicia González (Communications Director at Lladró). The evening ended with a networking session in the hall of EASD Valencia with the collaboration of Cerveza Turia and music by DJ Álex Serrano.
