Editor's Note
This editor’s note highlights the key facts and market implications behind “Tudor Black Bay Ceramic: Technical Specification”, with emphasis on sourcing, product fit, fabrication, logistics, or buyer impact.
The new Tudor Black Bay Ceramic combines a 41 mm matte black ceramic case with an innovative three-link bracelet made entirely of ceramic. The movement is the Manufacture Caliber MT5602-U, automatic, with 70 hours of power reserve, a silicon balance spring, and COSC and METAS Master Chronometer certifications. The watch is water-resistant to 200 meters, resistant to magnetic fields up to 15,000 gauss, and has a Swiss price of CHF 6,300.
The New Black Bay Ceramic Brings Ceramic from the Watch to the Bracelet
The most important innovation in this evolution is the ceramic bracelet. Tudor does not stop at the high-tech case but develops a material extension that makes the project much more compact visually and more ambitious technically. The new bracelet is three-link, completely black, and closed by a patented double folding clasp in ceramic. The choice is not trivial. Ceramic is a difficult material to work with, especially when it must meet ergonomics, comfort, and robustness requirements in a moving element like the bracelet. For this reason, the new Black Bay Ceramic becomes a concrete demonstration of expertise in materials science, not just a dark style exercise.

The Matte Black Ceramic Case
The heart of the construction remains the matte black ceramic case with a micro-blasted finish. The dimensions are those of the already successful model: 41 mm diameter, 13.55 mm thickness, and 49.4 mm lug-to-lug. Tudor also works on the contrast between surfaces. The monobloc case has a matte treatment on the main surfaces, while the beveled and mirror-polished edges introduce sharper reflections. It is this play between light and material that prevents the total black from becoming flat or uniform.
Bezel, Dial, and Hands
The Black Bay Ceramic is a black watch in almost every detail. The unidirectional rotating bezel is in 316L steel with black PVD treatment and uses a 60-minute graduated disc in black ceramic with a satin sunray finish. The engraved indices and numbers remain tone-on-tone but respond well to changes in light.

The anthracite dial, domed and with a sunray finish, works on a scale of blacks that changes shade without leaving the watch's dark register. The Snowflake hands, a Tudor signature since 1969, retain the Swiss Super-LumiNova Grade A coating, as do the applied indices, ensuring very effective readability even in the dark.
The Caliber MT5602-U
The engine of the new model is the Manufacture Caliber MT5602-U, a mechanical automatic movement with a bidirectional rotor. Its technical specifications are very solid: 31.8 mm total diameter, 6.5 mm thickness, 25 jewels, and a frequency of 28,800 vibrations per hour, equal to 4 Hz. From a construction standpoint, the caliber uses a variable inertia balance with screw precision adjustment and an antimagnetic silicon balance spring. The MT5602-U caliber guarantees a 70-hour power reserve, certified by METAS.
The Screw-Down Crown and 200 Meters Water Resistance

Despite the total black and very high-tech setup, the Black Bay Ceramic remains first and foremost a diver's watch from the Black Bay family. The screw-down crown is in 316L steel with black PVD treatment, with the Tudor rose in relief, while the crystal is a domed sapphire. The water resistance level reaches 200 meters, in line with the collection's history.
