——Stone veneers are lightweight, modern interiors developed by Bentley's Mulliner division
——Available in four unique colors: Galaxy, Autumn White, Terra Red, and Copper
Bentley's bespoke customization division, Mulliner, has unveiled a modern British luxury automotive interior—stone veneers. This innovative interior uses natural stone formed over 200 million years, employing the industry's most advanced stone veneer processing techniques to enhance opulence and luxury.
The slate and quartzite used for the stone veneers come from hand-operated quarries in the Indian states of Rajasthan and Andhra Pradesh, a country with an ancient and rich stone masonry culture. Stone cross-sections are separated from larger blocks and then processed with fiberglass and custom resins. Finally, they are hand-shaped and finished by Mulliner, Bentley's renowned bespoke division at its headquarters in Crewe, UK. The stone veneer layer is only 0.1 mm thick, making it extremely lightweight and translucent, allowing passengers to appreciate its elegant grain.
Geoff Dowding, Director of Mulliner Operations, said: "For a long time, Bentley has been an expert in wood and leather craftsmanship. Now, we are exploring new premium, rare materials to offer customers more personalization and choice. Stone veneers are another first for Bentley, launching a new program for using luxurious, unique materials."
