With relief, the 82 employees of Coquet porcelain resumed work this Monday in Saint-Léonard-de-Noblat. They were relieved after learning on Friday that it was the CELT group that would take over the company. For many of them, this return from vacation is happening in serenity.
It is with balm in their hearts that the 82 employees of JL Coquet porcelain resumed work this Monday at the Saint-Léonard-de-Noblat factory. Most of them are returning from vacation very relieved after learning last Friday that the CELT group had been chosen by the Paris commercial court to take over their company. A choice they hoped for and, above all, preferred to the recovery plan proposed by the porcelain manufacturer Bernardaud.
Employees Unanimous in Expressing Their Relief
During the midday break this Monday, all employees displayed broad smiles. The uncertainty is now behind them.
“We spent our vacation in stress and waiting, and now it’s relief,” recounts Angélique.
“This last weekend was much more restorative than the three weeks of vacation,” adds Virginie.
“We were very afraid that Bernardaud would take us over because people would have been laid off, and we want to stay here,” she adds. And they all hope for the future: “We think we are starting over on a new basis, we are fine now,” confides Florence.
“Life Goes On, and Even Better” – Anne Dalle, Site Director
It is not only the employees who are confident with the CELT group taking over the factory. The director of the JL Coquet factory in St-Léonard-de-Noblat is as well. For Anne Dalle, "It is very positive because we are starting with a cleared debt, but we will also be able to diversify further, particularly in the bathroom sector or in technical fields." And she is all the more optimistic as the order book is exploding in the middle of August.
“Everyone is motivated, we are going to experience incredible months of mobilization, life goes on and even better,” concludes Anne Dalle.
The leaders of the CELT group are expected to come to the Saint-Léonard-de-Noblat factory this Tuesday.
