Ismael García Peris has assumed the Presidency of the Spanish Association of Tile and Ceramic Pavement Manufacturers (Ascer) this Thursday, replacing Vicente Nomdedeu.
The handover took place during a board meeting of the association, which thanked Vicente Nomdedeu – president since 2018 – for his "firm leadership and commitment during a period marked by major challenges for the ceramic industry."
Ascer reported in a statement that Nomdedeu decided to step down from the position for personal and professional reasons that prevented him from maintaining the level of dedication the responsibility requires.
Furthermore, the ceramic sector's employers' association has welcomed Ismael García Peris as the new president, trusting that his experience and vision will continue to drive the role of Spanish ceramic companies and the sector worldwide.
Ismael García Peris has been a member of the Ascer board since 2013 and for the last 8 years has served as vice president alongside Nomdedeu.
