YKK AP launched its Smayell series of wood-look interior building materials in June 2025, offering enhanced design, improved operability, simplified installation, and a wide range of options.
The interior doors and sliding doors have been fully renewed for the first time in 20 years. The frame width has been slimmed down from the conventional 24mm to 20mm to make the boundary between the wall and door less conspicuous. The surface finish uses an olefin sheet with an embossed texture that closely resembles real wood grain.
The series offers extensive color and design variations, allowing for a total of 485 possible combinations for doors and sliding doors. The flooring line-up also includes 20 color and pattern options.
The manufacturer's suggested retail price (excluding tax) for a single swing door (standard type) measuring 778mm wide by 2033mm high starts from 65,000 yen to 151,100 yen.
