A Jury with International Reach
Among the most notable works of Rosa Agraz is the Mexico-Los Angeles architectural bridge, in collaboration with the Consulate of Mexico in Los Angeles. Lázaro Rosa-Violán, heading his studio in Barcelona, has developed projects in over 40 countries for clients such as Inditex, Aristocrazy, Soho House, Mondrian, Berns Group Hotels, H10 Hoteles, NH Hoteles, Iberica Restaurantes, and Marriott. Ju-Wei Chen is the founder of the consultancy Txengo Studio, based in London, with work spanning residential projects, hospitality spaces, and luxury transport interiors, developed through a methodology that prioritizes conceptual clarity and attention to detail.
Careers with Landmark Projects
Antonio De Martino has a career closely linked to the development of airports in Italy, such as the facade redesign of Terminal 1 at Malpensa (Milan), and to cultural heritage, like the National Archaeological Museum of Naples and the one in Aquileia. Margherita Frezza has participated in large-scale projects such as the Grand Theatre of Casablanca, the Suzhou Opera House, and various skyscrapers in Paris, and has experience developed in Italy, the United Kingdom, and France. The jury's decision will be announced on May 11, 2026, when the names of the winners will be released through an official statement. The awards ceremony will take place during the gala dinner to be held on May 27 in Madrid, solidifying this event as one of the key dates in the industry calendar.
New Categories in the 17th Edition
The Porcelanosa Awards, now in their 17th edition, introduce new categories this year, reinforcing the multinational's commitment to innovation and high-level design. Awards will be given for the best student project, for which students were invited to design a gastronomic space. Awards will also be given for the best project made with Porcelanosa materials, the architectural project of the year, and the interior design project of the year. In previous editions, the awards ceremony has been held in iconic venues in Madrid, attended by professionals from architecture, interior design, and real estate development.
