[Italy Città di Castello] Great Success for Ceramic Courses at Bufalini School

Editor's Note

This editor’s note highlights the key facts and market implications behind “Great Success for Ceramic Courses at Bufalini Sc”, with emphasis on sourcing, product fit, fabrication, logistics, or buyer impact.

The basic-level ceramic courses at the G.O. Bufalini School of Arts and Crafts in Città di Castello are in their final rush. The initiative, under the patronage of the Municipality of Città di Castello and the Department of Economic Development, is designed to offer participants a first approach to ceramic modeling techniques, as well as coloring and firing practices.

During the training course, students had the opportunity to try their hand at creating a coffee cup, a project that fits into a broader context linked to the TazzinArt initiative, now in its third consecutive edition. The event will be held on May 23 in Città di Castello, as part of the Buongiorno Ceramica event.

The courses are taught by professional ceramicists Fanette Cardinali and Simona Baldelli, both with extensive experience in the field of artistic ceramics, who have guided participants along a practical and creative path aimed at discovering the expressive potential of ceramics.

Four lessons until April 29 will cover topics such as hand modeling using coil, slab, and pinch techniques.

The cups made by the students will be exhibited during TazzinArt at the Bufalini School, thus offering the public the opportunity to see up close the work done during the course.

This year's edition of TazzinArt saw the participation of important artists, including Thomas Lange, Paolo Canevari, Hirano Mutsuo, and Giulia Napoleone, along with a delegation of Mexican artists as special guests of the 2026 edition, testifying to the international scope of the event.

It has been, as hoped, a unique opportunity to get closer to the world of ceramics and to enhance creativity through dialogue between training, art, and the local territory.
