Ceramic, as we know, has the advantage of resisting scratches much better than more traditional inserts, and it is a detail that on a diver intended for real use has a precise purpose, not just aesthetic. Turning the watch over, the sapphire caseback gives way to the in-house caliber CMM.11, and it is here that I believe an important part of the model's overall value is played out. This movement is born from the architecture of the CMM.10, but introduces the date function and maintains a technical approach oriented towards solidity and precision. It works at 4 Hz (28,800 vibrations per hour) and offers a power reserve of about 70 hours, a figure that in practice allows you to leave the watch stationary for an entire weekend without finding it dead. The declared precision of -3/+5 seconds per day places it in a rather interesting range for a caliber of this type, while the symmetrical architecture of the mainplate, together with the shock absorption systems, is designed to guarantee stability over time. I was also struck by the fact that design, assembly, and regulation take place in Morteau, with components coming from partners within a few kilometers between France and Switzerland: an approach that, beyond communication, has a real impact on production consistency.
The double-security deployant clasp also integrates a dive extension, useful for quickly adjusting fit over a wetsuit, but also appreciable in daily life for small adjustments.
