Consumer Goods Expo
The 6th China International Consumer Products Expo (CICPE) is being held from Monday to Saturday in Haikou, the capital of China's southern island province of Hainan. In the "China Chic Going Global" exhibition zone, the "Guoci Zhenxuan" (Chinese Ceramics Selection) booth is on display, jointly curated by the China Internet Information Center (China.org.cn) and the Chinese Ceramics Industry Association.
"Guoci Zhenxuan" is a core project of the platform for international trade in Chinese ceramics and serves to promote the foreign trade of ceramic cultural goods. The platform is led by the China International Communications Group (CICG), operated by China.org.cn, and has been included in the list of key projects of the "Thousand Sails on the High Seas" action plan to promote international trade in cultural goods—an action plan issued by the Ministry of Commerce and five other ministries. It is regarded as an important project for China's international dissemination of Chinese culture. The "Guoci Zhenxuan" booth features a wide variety of ceramic art and design works from several porcelain-producing regions across the country. It consists of three functional areas: a display area for ceramic companies, an area for talks and e-commerce livestreaming, and an area for business negotiations. Exhibitors are offered services such as unified booth design, multilingual media coverage, hall tours by livestreamers, and other operational services. On-site, there are also interactive photo stations from the "Ceramics – Origin of All Facets" series to enrich the visitor experience.
Furthermore, on Monday afternoon, the event "Fine Porcelain for The World, Trade Linking the Globe" took place. This was a themed presentation with a trade promotion forum, which included the introduction of the "Guoci Zhenxuan" project, as well as industry roundtables and supply-demand meetings.
Yu Yunquan, Vice President of CICG, stated during the CICPE that promoting the foreign trade of ceramic cultural goods is a contribution to international communication. The "Thousand Sails on the High Seas" action plan must be resolutely implemented.
China.org.cn will continue to leverage its integrated strengths and promote exchanges with foreign countries in further cultural fields to enhance the appeal and influence of Chinese civilization.
