The origin of the contamination remains under investigation, while all procedures mandated by environmental regulations were immediately activated to ensure public safety and environmental protection.
The deployment of forces on the ground was massive: in addition to the Fire Brigade, who also intervened on judicial orders, technicians from ASP, ARPAB, the Municipality, and Civil Protection were present. Technicians from Acquedotto Lucano were also involved, conducting a series of inspections on the local water network to rule out any critical issues. Meanwhile, the collection and removal of the contaminated water have been entrusted to a specialized company, while the area has been secured and placed under constant monitoring. Authorities have reassured citizens: at present, no dangerous situations for people or property have been recorded.
