For 18 years, Fliesen Bagaric GmbH has been a place of inspiration with its extensive product range. Under the leadership of Marinko Bagaric, the company has developed from a regional specialist into a nationwide Austrian competence center for tiles, parquet & vinyl – whether for the bathroom, kitchen, or living room. There is even something for the garage. The range is complemented by sanitary products sourced through wholesale – everything from a single source, from the tile to the faucet.
KAPFENBERG. Today, Fliesen Bagaric employs 25 staff members and five apprentices who, with expertise, commitment, and enthusiasm, have already worked on more than 4,000 projects. 80 percent of the workforce have been with the company for over ten years, indicating an exceptionally good working atmosphere. "Our success is teamwork – from the first consultation to the last joint," says the boss.
A Milestone: The New Flagship Store
A milestone was the construction of the new 450 m² flagship store at Grazer Straße 54a, which opened in 2014. The modern building combines showroom, office space, employee areas, and warehouse logistics under one roof. The company was the first in Austria to present large-format tiles in a new dimension. The selection ranges from elegant marble, concrete, and wood looks to exclusive designer pieces and customizable tiles. Marinko Bagaric's own personalized tile is also on display.
Demand for Large Format and Travertine
Currently, travertine looks, warm natural tones, and tile washbasins that convince with modern design and durability are particularly in demand. The tile has become more vibrant and versatile, with formats up to 3.20 by 1.60 meters. "Since trends change quickly, the team could redesign the exhibition every three months," says Bagaric, who receives two truckloads of new tiles every week. Many customers come specifically from Graz and other regions for this. "Tiles have to be seen and felt – no screen can replace the original," Bagaric continues. Some customers buy the tiles and install them themselves, but with reliable partner companies, a complete bathroom solution from a single source is also offered, for example, thanks to 3D planning.
Many Renovations
In addition to private customers, industrial companies, cooperatives, municipalities, and hospitals are among the clients. In recent years, the market has changed significantly. New construction is declining, while renovations are becoming increasingly important. Young families are moving into their parents' houses and redesigning them, or older people are selling their houses and moving into apartments.
Success Brings Growth
A new showroom with an area of around 800 m², twice as large as before, is planned, as well as an expansion of the warehouse to optimally present the growing product variety. The offering will also be expanded with Italian bathroom furniture. This ensures Fliesen Bagaric remains a trendsetter and quality leader in the Austrian tile industry. "Only those who work with joy can create enthusiasm in the customer," is the conviction of Managing Director Marinko Bagaric.
